SITE INSPIRATION - To keep the large building mass in scale with the surrounding mountain, the museum is conceived as a series of varied structures on platforms and terraces that rest upon the rising landscape. The podiums are defined by bridges, water gardens and walls of pink granite. The result is a delightful variety of viewscapes of the complex as one approaches and moves through it.
