CONCEPT - The solution moved the main entry and enclosed a generous courtyard. The major new construction framed a second courtyard. These courtyards allow a controlled natural world and natural light into the library interiors throughout, enhancing the original idea of a quiet place to explore ideas in the age of information. In addition to traditional areas for book stacks and reading, our design provides a new and expanded space for cultural programs.
