CLIENT OBJECTIVES - To mend the deteriorating residential fabric of this urban neighborhood, an alliance of neighborhood institutionsagreed that a strong educational program could serve as a magnet for community investment. They agreed tocreate a concentration of academic and community facilities on the site of a long-abandoned bus garage.The Southside Institutions Neighborhood Alliance (SINA) launched this highly praised, public-spirited initiative with Trinity College, Hartford Hospital, the Institute of Living, Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, and Connecticut Public Radio & TV, with State and City support.
