ORGANIZATION - The key to
the child-friendly organization of the building is its
simplicity and a two-story central spine, serving as
the “main street” corridor of the building.
It resembles aNew Englandcovered bridge, with a pitched
wood ceiling, generous skylight and clerestory windows.
The facilities on either side of it borrow from its
natural light. This main corridor feeds two smaller
perpendicular corridors, each of which serves classrooms
as well as the art room and skylit cafeteria that look
out on a courtyard.
