In 1999 Tai Soo Kim Partners was selected by the United
States Department of State to master plan the new, 21-acre,
U.S. Embassy compound, Tunisia, and design the 70,000
s.f. Chancery and related support buildings. At the dedication ceremonies December 10, 2002, U.S. Ambassador Rust M.
Deming offered glowing remarks about “this complex
project undertaken on an aggressive schedule. This is
a functional, enjoyable and efficient building that
reflects classic Tunisian design. This is more than
just a workplace. This impressive building represents
our confidence in the future of U.S. – Tunisian
relations.”
