OVERVIEW - This 31,000 sq.ft. project is located at the edge of the Hillhouse Avenue Historic District in New Haven. The project entails a complete renovation of an existing 13,730 sq.ft. with a new addition of 17,270 sq.ft. to house new labs, offices for faculty, and teaching spaces. The existing structure at 158 Whitney Avenue was originally a private residence built in 1835 and converted to academic use by the University.
