CHALLENGES & OPPORTUNITIES - Central to the master plan are two historic brownstones which have been earmarked for museums entitled the Samuel and Elizabeth Colt Heritage Museum and the Connecticut Firsts - Museum of Innovations, and a central green. The green fronts the two museums and provides installation sites for sculpture and botanical gardens. In the East Armory a portion of the first floor under the signature blue onion dome will be set aside for a National Park Service Visitors’ Center and Colt Legacy Museum.
