OVERVIEW - This award-winning 12,500 s.f. addition to the U.S. Navy’s Submarine Training Facility houses a simulated attack center, specialized computers and classrooms. Through the creative use of reflective glass block we satisfied stringent security requirements and created an energy efficient design. The building commands the hillside overlooking the Naval base with the precision of a machine. Yet it conveys a warmth as its glazed masonry and glass block exteriors capture and refelct the moving sun.
