May 2001 - This month construction begins on the final phase of construction for improvements to the athletic and dramatic arts facilities for the Wooster School, an independent day school in Danbury. Early in 1998, Tai Soo Kim Partners was invited to develop a plan for expanding the school's athletic and dramatic arts facilities. The resulting plan called for an additional gymnasium, and a small stage in the existing gym to be separated from the gymnasium and reoriented to provide its own entrance and sense of place within the facility.

Renovations creating the small theater were completed in 2000 and ground breaking on the new gymnasium begins in May of 2001. The new construction will front the existing structure and provide a complete new facade along the campus drive as well as a new lobby and support facilities for the entire structure. Tai Soo Kim Partners is pleased to have been challenged by the Wooster School to design these improvements that will serve the students for years to come.
